New office opens in Johannesburg

help2read’s Johannesburg office opened on 4th April 2011. The office is located in Illovo and will be managed by Leani van Zyl. Having only just got up and running, she’ll need all the help she can get.

Our vision for Gauteng Province is as for the Western Cape: that all South African children leave primary school literate and enjoying reading. Help2read’s Johannesburg office opened on 4th April 2011. The office is located in Johannesburg and managed by Leani van Zyl.

We aim to have volunteers helping in 10 schools by the end of 2011, with the first two schools to be Rosebank and Craighall Primary schools in the Illovo area.

If you or anyone you know is able to  spend two hours per week to impart the gift of literacy, please email Leani at the Johannesburg office: Gauteng@help2read.org and she will be in touch with  a volunteer application pack and any other relevant information.
