Refresher workshops throughout the year. These workshops allow continuous training of volunteers - the updating of training manuals, book exchanges and general knowledge sharing. They also cover such topics as conflict resolution management, HIV/AIDS and effective communication, thus empowering volunteers with essential life skills.
Facilitating community cohesion through newsletters, text messages, emails and, most importantly, through one-on-one guidance and encouragement from help2read staff Support Workers, who visit volunteers on a regular basis to ensure their needs are met.
A volunteer recognition event, where help2read thanks and awards volunteers for their invaluable contribution throughout the year.
