Exclusive Books Exclusive Books has donated beautiful children's books to the value of R55,000. These books will be added to our book boxes for children to enjoy.
ABSA help2read received R15,000 from ABSA. The funds will be used to obtain resources for our book boxes and cover the costs of one-day training workshops for an additional 100 reading helpers.
South African Breweries In October, SAB donated funds for help2read to provide ongoing development workshops and training resources to our volunteers.
Wordsworth Books Wordsworth Books have kindly sponsored the printing of help2read's bookmarks. The bookmarks are now available at all Wordsworth Book stores in the Western Cape.
Unitrans Unitrans generously donated funds to help2read and is supporting one of our Volunteer Support Workers for one year, enabling us to grow the programme in Mitchell's Plain and Khayelitsha. Introduction to Independence (i-to-i) Programme i-To-i is providing volunteers from England and the USA to operate our Intensive help2read programme and through these volunteers, providing us with sponsorship.

Books For Africa help2read recently received a donation of 22,000 books from this US non-profit. help2read distributed the majority of books to disadvantaged Cape Town schools. The remainder will be added to help2read's book boxes for struggling learners to enjoy. www.booksforafrica.org
Van Loveren Wines Van Loveren provided the wine at a recent help2read networking event in Port Elizabeth.
Juta and Company Ltd A large stationery donation from Juta enabled help2read to offer nineteen under-resourced schools the opportunity to share in this wonderful gift. The generosity did not end there - one school in impoverished Bonteheuwel felt so blessed they passed half of their donation to a neighbouring school. Earls Court & Olympia - Britain's biggest Exhibition Operator EC&O has agreed to make a contribution towards help2read's expansion programme for 2007. Western Cape Education Department help2read has had the most wonderful co-operation and physical assistance from the Metropole South area.
Volunteer Reading Help (UK) VRH provided training, organisational help and training materials for the setting up of help2read. help2read UK help2read's core funding is provided by help2read UK The Funding Network The Funding Network UK hosted a fundraising event in London in June 2007 where Alex Moss, the help2read founder, presented our programme and raised a significant sum from individuals attending the function. In May 2008, The Funding Network South Africa held its first event in Johannesburg and invited help2read to present our programme. help2read raised R30,000 during the event.
